FAIRCHILD TROPICAL
BOTANIC GARDEN
Documentation of the endangered species Harrisia fragrans, a multi-stemmed cactus native to the rockland hammocks and shellmounds along Florida’s east coast, including the Florida Keys.
A stop-motion video was captured during its rare nocturnal bloom, filmed from evening until midnight using a black backdrop and fixed camera. A companion photo series was later developed using studio lighting and color backdrops to emphasize the species’ fragility.

Native Plant Series

A series of photo essays developed for the Native Plant Network, created in collaboration with field biologists. Each story combines field photography, research-based writing, and visual design to highlight endangered plants and conservation efforts across South Florida. Leading all visuals, design, and production from fieldwork and photography to layout and final storytelling.
